Cute little boys- and bears of course!
Eddie is hanging on my counter trying to get to my cell phone which is playing his favorite song.
Crawling around and being silly
Eddie is making a silly face and I LOVE the smile on Nicolas

Taking a rest from running around the dining room
Good thing they took all the cushions off the couch so they have somewhere comfortable to sit
My sweet little angels

Tonight we had a family of bears, a mama and 3 babies, attempt to get our garbage- they failed. But after they destroyed my neighbors garbage I really wanted to try to get a picture of them all together. After they walked though the woods I grabbed my camera and put the kids in the truck, and proceeded to track them for about 10 minutes. Unfortunately it was dusk so my pictures didn't turn out well, but how cool is it to see them all together!!

Grandma and Grandpa, and Haircuts!
Ok, so this post is about 2 weeks late! Sorry! Ed and Grace came to visit for the weekend and also to see little Eddie play soccer (which I have no pictures of since I stayed home to let Nicolas nap). As soon as they walked in the door the kids attacked Grandpa!!
"Tossing" Eddie
Playing with Grandpa
What a nice picture!
Look at that mop of hair!
Nicolas is showing Grandma how to use her phone
Giving kisses!
So after seeing his "mop", I told Eddie it was time for a trim after G-Ma and G-Pa left. I love the look on Nicolas' face as he is watching Daddy get the clippers ready.
This is what followed....
Now it's Eddie's turn- as you can see, he also enjoys getting his hair cut
Carrying on and on and on
So I told him I was going to post these pictures for Bama to see his hair and this is immediately what I got!
Nicolas with his trimmed hair- SO much better! All we did was trim a little on the sides and it made a world of difference.

Nicolas is just happy that his turn is over
Just about done!
Hiyah!
Crying about hair on his neck
I found a perfect costume for Eddie for Halloween and couldn't resist letting him try it on. The kids are HUGE Toy Story fans so I got him the Buzz Lightyear. He loved it and did NOT want to take it off. I had to assure him that he was going to get to wear it for 2 full days- one for the Halloween parade at school the day before Halloween, and then of course to trick-or-treat.

Soccer.....and a bear
Eddie has his first soccer game yesterday! They practice for 45 minutes, and then have a 45 minute game. He loves to practice (everyone gets a ball) but the game was rough for him. He ran off the field several times crying that he never gets the ball. Hopefully the next game will be smoother for him!
During practice he got to make a couple goals! He did great.

Nicolas was EXHAUSTED since soccer time and nap time are the same. He wanted to run up this hill and run back down it a hundred times. Oh yeah, and he didn't want me to go with him!! Don't worry, with the exception of the picture, I was holding his hand the whole time.
Eddie taking a break during practice
During the game, getting some encouragement from Coach Daddy

Nicolas finally fell asleep!!!
He finally gave up on the game. So did one of his other teammates.
High-fives for everyone after the game

Today we went out for a walk after dinner, and after we made it about 5 minutes down the road a truck stopped us and let us know there was a big bear just around the bend where we were headed. We thanked him and turned around to head home, and hopefully not run into the bear. We hung out in the driveway for about 10 minutes thinking we might see him come our way, and then decided we would get our camera, hop in the car, and go bear "hunting". After about 2 minutes, we found him!!!! He was grazing on a lawn right next to the road about 15 feet- perfect for picture taking!! He didn't pay us any attention and only looked up at us a couple times. Eddie honked the horn and made some noises, but it didn't care. We watched and took pictures for about 5 minutes- until it started grazing closer.

Labor Day weekend and random others
Last weekend we let the kids have a drumset that was given to them. They loved it of course!!
Nicolas is so excited to play with the drums that Daddy is putting together!
Eddie is too!
All done, and ready to destroy- I mean, play.
They didn't really want to share
Nicolas is smaller, but he can still fight back!
Taking a break to have some milk- I had to take this since Nicolas NEVER drinks milk!!
Back to playing

Cool dude
Getting away from Nicolas to play and sing

We had a fun Labor Day weekend with lots of trips and activities!! On Saturday we went to a local ski resort that was hosting a Garlic Fest- yum! It was perfect weather and bought all sorts of garlic products. The kids weren't as excited as we were, but did pretty good over all.
Sunday we took a short train ride into New York City to walk around and see some sights. We had a delicious chinese lunch and then walked about 50 blocks roundtrip to Central Park. We had another fabulous weather day and again, the kids weren't thrilled since they couldn't walk very much since there were people everywhere. And we have decided that we will go back to the city, but without the kids!
Monday we had a little cooler day but still wonderful and went just down the road to a state park that I had heard good things about, to take a hike. It was so great!! There were several waterfalls and the kids were able to walk the whole time, although they did have to hold our hands because some areas were steep and rocky. We will be going back there often I think! The kids definitely enjoyed the hiking day a lot more than the rest of the weekend...
