Graduation

Friday we were all so very lucky to get to watch Eddie graduate from the Warrant Officers Basic Course! There was a little bit of a wait but everyone was all smiles
Even Nicolas! He kept asking (rather loud) "Are we ready?"
Mommy and Nicolas waiting and so proud
Eddie getting his certificate!
7 out of 20 classmates that got the German Award. Eddie was only 1 of 3 that acheived the GOLD badge!!
Receiving his badge
"The guys"
Eddie and his buddy Kevin- they were also in the Warrant Officer class last summer together.
Not a great picture, but we are proud!
AFTER the ceremony Nicolas promptly fell asleep in the stroller so we couldn't do a family picture until after lunch. Which he also slept through. For 2 hours. Woo hoo!!

Brotherly love

I am feeling so grateful for my 2 little boys! They are old enough now to play together all day long, mostly getting along. Eddie loves to help Nicolas do things lately...
Nicolas is playing the Leapster and Eddie is showing him how to draw the letters. :)
I love it when they are sweet together.

4 Day weekend!

Well, for the first 4 day weekend this year we did absolutely nothing of importance. Although, Little Eddie did get to talk to his friend Eddie from PA and they were hilarious!! They talked nonstop for about 20 minutes and it was so cute to see him so excited. Little Eddie also had a t-ball game in which Nicolas was actually really good!! He sat in the stroller the entire game and played nice and quiet.
The Eddie's also did a little fishing on base. No nibbles, but had a nice time.
Little Eddie reading his library book to Nicolas. It was so darn cute, Nicolas just layed like that the whole time Eddie was reading. :)
It was a chapter book, so about 10 minutes!

At the farm

This weekend we found a farm just a couple miles down the road and they had all sorts of fun activities! They had a kids hay maze and the kids had fun running around in it

There was also a huge slide (wish I had a pic of the whole thing) and Eddie eased his way down
The girl working the slide said since Nicolas was 2, he had to go down the other side. It was higher, more tilted towards the ground, but I figured it would be ok since they said he had to go down this one. Well I was WRONG!!! He came FLYING down the slide and right after I took this he bit it! Face in the sand and everything. I was laughing so hard, and luckily he thought it was great too, but the next 2 times I caught him at the bottom.
On the great big bouncy having the time of their lives.
In the corn maze! Eddie was our leader and we made it out without having to call for help.
On the cool horse swings made out of tires
Nicolas was loving this truck and the sand, and I literally had to drag him away kicking and screaming
The Eddie's on...oh I don't know what it is
Pumping the water to get the little duckies to the other side
Eddie getting a few pointers
Eddie is doing great!
Nicolas is waiting for Eddie's duck
Seeing some of the animals on the farm
Happy Fall!
Back at home Eddie was being silly and wearing the monkey backpack

Projects

We have been doing a lot of projects lately! Thanks to Grandma Grace we get them in the mail every other week or so. And they come with an apron! Getting ready
Yay! Building stuff is fun!
The finished project!
And Nicolas has been OBSESSED with doing puzzles!!! All day long he wants to sit at the table and put them together.
So proud of himself!
Doing a big puzzle together so nicely

So proud of their work!

A day at the beach

2 weeks ago we spent the day at the beach with Chantil, Don and Jen! The weather was amazing and the kids LOVED the beach!! Really, they played in the sand, threw sand, played in the water and just had a really awesome time.
Nicolas and Daddy heading to the water
Eddie was not anxious to go far in the water, but I was able to talk him into sitting in the shallow part
Daddy and Nicolas met up with Chantil in the ocean!
Eddie enjoying the waves

Eddie and Nicolas back from the deep part
Nicolas wanted to join in on the fun
Nicolas thought the waves were hilarious!
Aunt Chantil let the boys sit on her surfboard to "ride" the waves. They loved it because it really did move around when the big waves came in.

Daddy and the boys playing around
Nicolas giving me some seaweed. How thoughtful.
Throwing some wet sand
Chantil got suckered into taking Nicolas to the deep part. He was in heaven!
Daddy finally talked Eddie to go out far with him, and made it back to tell about it.
Nicolas and Chantil back from the deep end
What a great day! Thanks for a fun time!
