New sprinkler!

Eddie got a new sprinkler for his birthday and we were finally able to get it out and use it today! It is an octopus and has 8 little flying hose tenticles. Nicolas loved it and and grabbed a hold of one and never let go! And all pictures are taken from a distance because if I started getting closer to him he would aim it at me until I ran away! Those things can spray really far!! Watching me to make sure I don't come any closer
Eddie is about to get it!
Trying to get Eddie
Yes, he is wearing Eddie's swim shorts since I lost his!
He's getting me!
Eddie is in the "safe zone"

Nicolas let Eddie get his own tenticle. For about 10 seconds. Then he soaked him.

Steam train ride!

Eddie suprised us with a trip on a steam train today!! We had a lot of fun and the kids LOVED it!! We got to have a 30 minute train ride, and it was a perfect day for it. It was 85, sunny, and a wonderful breeze! We also got to wander around in the museum and even climb in a few old cars.

Before the train ride we checked out the trains in the yard Nicolas was constantly pointing to all the cool trains

Look at that!!
Just about to get on the train- so excited!!
Waiting for the ride to begin
Nicolas actually sat very well once the train started to move
Cute matching brothers!
And we're off!
Passing the biggest (and littlest) trains in the yard
Wow! Look over there!
Going over a little bridge
Sitting so nicely- amazing!!
Most of the family pic. Sorry Nicolas!

Looking at all the cool trains in the museum
They are really big!!!
Eddie in a box car
Looking in every nook and cranny in this old car
The biggest train in the yard!!!
And the smallest train
Tuckered out and on the way home. What a fun day!!

It's official!! Eddie is now a Warrant Officer with the US Army!! We are so proud of him and so happy to have him home. He worked hard and did very well.

We had Little Eddie's 4th birthday party yesterday and everyone had a great time!! Eddie came home Friday night- little Eddie's actual birthday. The kids cling to him every second now and don't want him to ever leave the room. And Bama had to go home today- BOO- we already miss her very much.

New paint and weekend in Philadelphia

We had a great time this weekend down in Philadelphia visiting Jen and Grandma B! We drove down on Friday morning and went straight to the Please Touch Museum (children's museum) since it is HUGE and FREE for military families. It was AWESOME!!!!! The kids had way too much fun and just ran like crazy people touching everything and seeing what was next. The entire time we were there I could not get Nicolas to look at me, there was way too much fun stuff too see and do. Then we went to Jen's house to wait for her to get home from work, and played with Grandma B and the 2 dogs. Nicolas absolutely loved the dogs and thought they were so funny, and they were wonderful with him. Jen and I got a afternoon and evening out with shopping and delicious chinese food on Saturday, and of course a game of Scrabble both nights after the kids went to bed. A fun time was had by all, and so glad we were all able to get together!

4th of July

Better late than never right! Finally, here are our 4th of July pictures. We went down to the lake in our community and spent about an hour, had a picnic and a dip in the water. After an hour we had all had way too much fun and headed back to the house for a nap and relaxation.

Eddie and Bama checking out the water- chilly! Nicolas having his lunch and observing Eddie and Bama
They made a little friend!
Nicolas' turn in the water
Playing in the sand. Unless you happen to look away for 5 seconds and then he makes a break for the water
Eddie is loving being allowed to eat chips!
Bama!
After a nap we walked back down to the beach to play at the playground and do a little craft. Nicolas had a hard time getting out of the boat.

The only place there is no sand- yep- the sandbox
