Lizards and fishin

We have quite the animal activity in our tiny little backyard, but we LOVE it! Now that we have a birdfeeder and humming bird feeder we see all sorts of birds daily, and we have our beloved gecko. He likes to sit on the fence so we can watch him. Like this. A little closer look
Later he was sunning himself on the rose leaves

Our garden is really growing!! We have already picked some strawberries and a banana pepper, and we have some cucumbers and tomatoes that are almost ready.

We also love to use our backyard for morning projects- the afternoons we get the sun and it is HOT! I introduced finger paints and of course it was a big hit.
I wasn't sure how Nicolas would do, but he kept the paint on the paper and his plate!
Eddie loves to do art also

After some painting it was time for chalk, and we made some train tracks for them to run on.
Look at those trains go!
When Nicolas naps it is a good time for Daddy and Eddie to have some time alone. Eddie is showing Daddy how to play his new game.

And we also got to go fishing for the first time! Daddy has been very anxious to take his little Eddie and we finally got the opportunity. We lasted about an hour, which I thought was pretty good! The boys could have stayed longer, but Nicolas was being- well, Nicolas.
Daddy is showing Eddie how to bait the hook
Nicolas is so happy to be outside and "play" in the water. Note that he was ALWAYS in my grip because if I let go for one second he would dive into the water without a second thought.
So happy to fish together!

After fishing we were pretty hungry and went to a new store to check out their seafood. We were pleasantly surprised to see they have really awesome little carts just for kids!! Of course they thought that was the best thing ever, but it was definitely a 2 man job since they were zooming all over the store. Oh, and no fresh seafood. :(

I love the stolen moments when the kids are playing happily together. Sometimes Little Eddie will read to Nicolas while they are playing.
Just like this! :)
Next adventure- Disney World!!

Yum-O! Your garden looks great!! Y'all have quite the green thumb! Fishing sounds exhausting - chasing a little one around is not very relaxing... which is supposed to be part of the appeal of fishing.

I'm so glad you DID join Eddie in GA. What a great spring you've had and lots to entertain y'all in the summer! Both boys look so happy in their new home. Can't wait for Disney report!

Love all the photos, especially the ones where the boys are playing so nicely! You'll have to talk Grandpa into taking Eddie fishing. He still remembers Eric and Robert and detangling both fishing poles numerous times! Glad there is so much to do and Eddie can do it with you- I know he's loving it!
