THE MOVE

Let me start by saying that this is a LARGE post, so come back later if you don't have some time. :)

It has been a very busy 3 weeks since my last post! First, we got another large snowstorm in PA! There was much shovelling done by Eddie and Bama too. Little Eddie and I had a great time playing in the snow, but Nicolas wasn't a big fan. Probably because he sunk immediately up to his chest...
Little Eddie and I made our own sledding hill using the 6 FEET of snow on the side of the driveway. We had a blast! Bama and the boys getting warm inside
Ed and Grace came to see us one last time before we took off for a warmer climate. Here are the mom's doing what they do- cooking and cleaning.A look at the damage- this was first thing in the morning. Eddie had shovelled at 10pm the night before and we got another 6-8 inches overnight! We also celebrated my last year in my 20's

The mom's!

Eddie and Grandpa being so silly Nicolas cheesing it up for the grandparents Getting a relaxing back rub
Eddie and Bama having a heart-to-heart

Grandpa and the Eddie Monster chasing Nicolas

Grandma and Grandpa with the boys

One last family picture in front of the fireplace in our first house

Mmmm, time for a popsicle!

Yum!

Eddie's last day at his Montessori preschool :( Miss Lili is presenting Eddie with a special book of pictures made for him from all his classmates
Listening so nicely Having a special snack with some of his buddies

Eddie and one of his 3 amigos

Time to play outside!

On the playground there was a laundry basket filled with snow. It was really heavy, so they started calling for help with some "teamwork!" It was so cute to watch them all work so nicely together.

Hard work

One last good bye to the BEST NEIGHBORS EVER! Carlo and Claire And then we were off! I have no driving pictures since I was driving. The first day we made it 7 hours, which apparently was one hour too many for Nicolas. But when we finally made our destination the boys had a grand time playing with the hotel phones. One of the first things I do when we get to a hotel is unplug the phone because they LOVE them!

The next day we arrived in Georgia after only 5 hours! We were so happy to be here and checked right into our home for the next week. We had a really nice 3 bedroom apartment, furnished, in a gated community right in the middle of town.

The day after we arrived it was Nicolas' 2nd birthday! I had ordered a train table and it was waiting for me to pick up just in time to have it set up for when he woke up on his birthday morning. He LOVES trains so he was very excited.

Eddie was pleased too since he got to share!

Cake time!

And amazingly enough, it is WARM in Georgia!! Hard to believe that 2 days before we were surrounded by 6 feet of snow. The boys really enjoyed the playground at the apartment.

Bama and Nicolas having a nice swing Climbing up to the slide all by himself
I know he looks thrilled, but he really did love to go down the slide by himself

There was a great courtyard in the middle of the complex and the boys loved to run around. They found some friends and they all ran around together. And I HAD to get a picture of little Eddie eating SALAD!! He is being more adventerous with his eating which is very exciting.
Yummy salad
Reading a book together Our first weekend in Georgia we went on base to walk around one of the big fields. The boys were very excited to see a helicopter.
And stairs!

Where did the helicopter go?
Maybe one of my all time favorites. They got to share a room and a bed at the apartment and they did really well.
Getting ready to go outside, he is one cool dude
There's that excitement I told you about!

Another cool, handsome dude Eddie was king of the playground
Nicolas taking a rest under the slide.
Time for a drink- it's hot out here! Time for a group slide
Reading a book with Bama
This is our new place for 8 months!
Mommy and the little cheeser
Nicolas on his bed in the new room
Eddie is happy to get to share his room again with Nicolas
Now that we are so close, Uncle Eric and Aunt Chantil came to visit the day after we moved in! The boys were smitten with them (and their 2 doggies) and everyone had a great time.
After meeting the doggies, Aunt Chantil is helping Nicolas wash his hands.
Nicolas has a lot to say to Uncle "Ewase"
And likes to cuddle with him too

Our condo has a cat door that leads to the garage (where the doggies stayed) and the boys were OBSESSED with seeing them. The little doggie, Gizmo, would push his head through the door and the boys thought that was absolutely hilarious! A week later Nicolas still checks to see if they are in there.
Tried to wake up Uncle Eric but he heard us coming up the stairs and surprised us instead!
Time to take the doggies for a walk. Eddie was an official doggie-walking-helper.
Beautiful morning for a walk!
Hanging out
Aunt Chantil gave Eddie a little gymnastics lesson
And Eddie got to help give the doggies treats
Sit!

Bama, Eric and me Time to go, kisses all around!

We had a great time with Uncle Eric and Aunt Chantil!
We decided to put a vegetable garden in our back "yard" since it is fenced. It's pretty small, but it will do! We even have some beautiful flowers already, and no fear of dear eating them!
The boys were anxiously waiting for their turn to help garden.
Bama getting the lay of the land
We chalked a hopscotch, which Eddie loves! He is very good.
Nicolas is getting the hang of it
Finally time to help with the garden!
Nicolas loved to move the dirt
The finished product! Hopefully we will have some sprouts in the next week.
Having some fun with Playdoh
Hooray for Playdoh!
Having some indoor time with the train table
Apparently they can't get along when both playing with the train table, so Bama turned the actually table into one for trains.
More playdoh time
One of our beautiful new flowers!

At Nicolas' naptime Bama and Eddie like to play Bingo
Time to say goodbye to Bama until next time. :( We had a great time and will miss her very much!
Nicolas was not interested in taking pictures
Got one! It will have to do.
Try one more time? Nope. Oh well, we love you Bama!

I can't believe Bama is commenting already. I would think she would be passed out in bed for the next week... y'all have been so busy!!
So excited that everything went well and that you found a place to call home for a while. Enjoy the weather now... summer is coming... :)

Wow, what a difference in weather. I'm glad the move went well. The boys seem to be enjoying themselves! Enjoy that weather before the humidity sets in!! All the pics look great! And nothing says a new home like a new garden - and gotta love having your Mom there too! I wish you all a wonderful adventure in GA!
