December- all of it!!

Well we started off December by attending our first Build-to-Grow clinic at Lowes to build a train!!! Thankfully Grandpa was there to help me- I mean Eddie build his train while I tried to build Nicolas' train as fast as possible with his help so I could put the hammer away. There are no pictures of the actual building since, hello! 2 year old with a hammer. They were so proud of their trains! They spent about a half hour driving the trains around this table. Nonstop. But they were happy!
Getting a nice brothers shot in front of the tree
The second week of the train build everyone was busy and I couldn't find the motivation to take both kids by myself, so Grace got 2 sets and we put them together a few days later. (the train had 3 parts/3 weeks)
Nicolas got to help out this time too!
Trains!
We also made a trip to the Crayola Factory! It is only 30 minutes away and super fun.
We started out by drawing with cool magic markers.
Nicolas!
Dancing and watching their outlines move with them
I love this one!
We stopped to color a nice winter picture for about 2 minutes.
And Eddie went for a surf!
There was a "dark room" that had cool light up pens
It was awesome!
There was a sidewalk and LOTS of chalk, which the boys love.
Eddie Pie
Above the Crayola Factory was a boat museum and we got to take our boats on a ride through the locks
Letting the boat through the lock
Eddie was happy that he could do it all by himself
Daddy!
Beyond the boat museum was a room full of trains!!!
Eddie the conductor
Daddy showing the boys how to turn on the spotlight that shines on the track
There was more! A room for play. This was a box full of little rubber pieces, I suppose cleaner then sand but maybe not safe for the little babies. Luckily my kids aren't so much with putting things other than their hands in their mouths anymore.
After we left the museum we went next door to the Crayola store and saw the biggest crayon in the world!!!!
After we got home we got a chance to look in our bag of goodies. There was some model magic, similar to playdoh but I swear, no mess!!! Anyways, Eddie asked for some and about 2 minutes later he comes over and says, "Look! It's a clown!" Well we couldn't belive that it really did look like a clown!!!
He is so smart and creative!
Just lounging around for a minute
Eddie got to be in his first winter concert! He was very excited and he looked very handsome. Here he is walking up the the stage with his class.
Can you see him? He is in the front. They did one song and they did really great! Now the rest of the concert.....not as much. When the "band" played a song I was overcome with hysterical laughing because IT WAS THAT BAD!!!
Family picture after the concert
CONCERT!!!
Before school got out for holiday break we all got to go and participate in a gingerbread house build! It was fun and the boys did a great job.
Working together. Mostly.

Nicolas put on the finishing touches
The final product! Sorry about the fuzzy picture, there was some "house glue" on the lens.
Later Nicolas wanted to build his very own house
A little different, but he was happy!
Having a snuggle
On Christmas Eve we wanted to get out of the house and let the kids run around so we decided to walk to the park. We got outside and it was too cold!! So we drove and that way we could just hop in and go when we had had enough. Can you see Nicolas? We were bundled.
Having a nice swing
Yay!
Eddie is a big boy now so he can swing himself! He does still like help sometimes though.
On the the round a bout thing
Eddie taking a ride
Nicolas taking a ride.
Christmas Eve and time to brush teeth and get ready for Santa!
WOW!! Santa came!!! My flash burnt out that night so I just couldn't get enough light in the house for a good picture. :(
Christmas morning putting the toys together.
This is what Eddie did almost the entire day. Christmas is a treat since he is normally allowed only 1 hour of game time.
And then it was back to school! Nicolas had his very first day this week and almost everyone was excited about it.
Nicolas was very excited!! Sidenote- this is the very same shirt that Little Eddie wore on his very first day of preschool!
In his playroom for drop off and playing with all the cars.
Bye Mommy! I'm gonna have some fun!
After a long day of work/school/doing nothing, it's nice to relax on the couch and watch tv. Please not that Nicolas is in underwear because HE IS OFFICIALLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!! WOO HOO!!! I thought this day would never come. :)

Very cool DIY trains! Love all the pictures, the boys are so happy and look so cute. The Crayola Factory looked like an awesome place to take kids. You're right, Eddie looked very handsome for the school concert!

Whoa, that's a lot! I am now freezing cold (park) and ready to potty train Emily. Well, maybe... soon.
The boys both look handsome at the concert and on Nicolas' first day of school. Congratulations on that!!
