Bama and Grandpa came for a visit and Grandpa stayed for over a week. Bama is still with us for just over another week so we have been having so much fun!!
The kids took to Grandpa right away (they always worry the kids will have forgotten about them)
Bama and Eddie being silly and smelling some seasonings
Nicolas thinks they are SO funny!
Eddie is helping Grandpa with his computer
Nicolas is a crazy baby!
Gotta have the Spongebob slippers
Showing Grandpa one of his cars while on the magic blanket
Bama is always hard at work!
Me and Bama got a whole day to ourselves complete with shopping, lunch and manicures/pedicures!
Playing trains with Bama
Nicolas loves to give kisses
Grandpa's "office"
Ready to be relaxed!
About to enter THE spa- so excited!
In the relaxation roon waiting for our massages and enjoying some luxaries

Since Bama and Grandpa were so willing to let us take off for a couple days of rest and relaxation, we did! We went to a spa resort and had 2 nights to ourselves complete with 2 spa treatments! Thank you so much B and G!!
On our way to the spa, enjoying the scenery
After our massages, so relaxed and having a nice hot foot soak

The really awsome indoor pool! It is HUGE and has all sorts of waterfalls with LED lights and even a water slide! Both days when we went we had the place all to ourselves (I was worried there would be loud, spashing kids there :)
The grotto jacuzzi
Awesome place!
The second night we were able to use the waterslide- it was so fun! Amazing that it was pretty long for an indoor pool.
Eddie's turn

We returned home to our normal life on Halloween. Eddie insisted on buying a mask to try to scare the kids. Here he is getting all suited up.
The unsuspecting children before scary guy comes in
Instead of screaming (like we thought they would) they just smiled
Smiles were the last thing we thought would happen!
So Daddy put the mask on Eddie
And the cape!
Of course THIS scared Nicolas! Go figure.
Since we live in the mountains and the communities have so many houses spread apart, lots of people out here have "trunk-or-treats", where a lot of cars gather and line up and have open trunks where they keep the candy. All the kids line up and walk down the line to get their candy! This is especially great for little kids, they don't have to walk too far and they get a fair amount of candy for mom and dad- I mean, for themselves.

Getting ready to trunk-or-treat
Nicolas was a pirate- here is his "Arrr!" face
Eddie was Buzz Lightyear and Bama was a witch
I was a witch too!
Waiting for the trunk-or-treat to start. There was over 40 cars there!!!

Nicolas stole some candy out of our bowl and ran to the back of the truck thinking we couldn't get to him. Too bad for him, he couldn't figure out how to get the wrapper off.
Found one that looked easier and made a mad dash to the back again
The great news is that Nicolas has gone on the potty 2 times! Of course, only for Bama.
Eddie had his last soccer game and as a surprise, they had the whole league play at the same time against the coaches!! It was quite a site to watch 50 little kids run the field. Eddie had a friend from school there so they ran together mostly at the back of the herd. They had a great time!
Running over to us for a break
The Eddie's played a great season!
Eddie's team- the Coyotes
Eddie getting his award for a job well done

After the game we went back home and spent the afternoon with Grandpa and Grandma! Eddie was so tired from running the field and fell asleep on Grandma's lap for an hour and a half!!

Nicolas was getting pretty ansy with all the adults talking so Bama gave him a wipe to play with. Who knew that would keep him occupied for so long???
He had to wipe his shirt...
and the floor...
oh, and look at that! It's his shadow!
It's over here too!
Better wipe it clean
and the fridge
and the cabinets
and his face
and his feet
and Grandma's hand
and Bama's hand. Boy, that was exhausting!
My little smoocher loves to give Mommy kisses
Eddie is helping Grandpa do some work- and waiting for the right time to take over.
Nicolas refuses to let me put a bib on him some days- good thing he's washable
Eddie and Bama are learning how to tell time- Eddie is obsessed with it!! It's amazing how he loves to learn.
Nicolas' turn with the shaker
Oh dear!
Eddie saw and wanted to join in on the fun
Me and Dad on his last day :( So glad that he was able to come and spend time with us!
Grandpa and his little boys
Nicolas loves to help Bama blow on her coffee so it isn't too hot
Bama and I decided to venture out and take the kids bowling. Eddie has bowled a couple times, but Nicolas had always been confined to the stroller. Since I had a lovely assistant I thought it would be fun to let Nicolas try too.
Eddie is a pro and knew just what to do without any help

WOW! Love all the pictures, even the ones that make me look older than I want to be. I am having so much fun with the grandchildren!
Love, Bama/Mama
No wonder this post took you two hours!!!! The bad part is that I don't have the memory to comment on everything...
It looks like Grandpa's arms are sure to fall asleep at that desk. That is when Eddie's little arms will come in handy!
Spa weekend - ahhh - moment of silent jealousy...
Glad Halloween was fun and that the soccer season ended well. I can't believe Eddie slept there like that for an hour and a half. AWESOME!
Looking forward to the next post...
