Bama and SNOWICANE 2010

I think I told you before that the boys like to pretend they are babies...

And little Eddie had a playdate with one of his best buddies- the other Eddie. They had a grand time running around with the yellow train.

They even took turns!

And they played some Bingo

Eddie and Eddie :)

Fist bump to say goodbye

Nicolas was having a snack one day and wanted Lois to join him.

Telling Lois a secret

We have had a LOT of snow this last week, and this is what happens to our yard.
The deer destroy it regardless.
Friday Nicolas and I had a morning out with Bama! We got to have a nice breakfast and Nicolas did great! He had one of his trains and a tub of playdoh and it kept him busy the whole time.

Bama!!

Friday afternoon Eddie and I headed for Staten Island for a weekend alone- well, he had Reserves and I went along to do THIS all weekend...

And he did some of this when we got there.
We were a block away from the water looking over NYC

Connected by this HUGE bridge

So we saw some sights before heading out for a great chinese dinner

The view of NYC

The bridge at night, very cool!
Saturday morning Eddie headed off to work, and I took and nap and then read a great book the rest of the day.
After work we had a FANTASTIC Italian dinner!!

Relaxing after our meal

Tuesday we had a good snow- 12 inches or so! Eddie got up first thing in the morning to shovel. He had shovelled at 10pm the night before, and also a couple times the day before, and this was what happened overnight!

Winter wonderland

Later in the day we really wanted to get out and enjoy the snow. Bama wanted to pull the boys around the yard. The boys loved it, but it was really hard work! Note you can't even see Bama's foot since it is buried in the snow...

We made it to the front yard on our trek- barely- and decided to make a snowman. Nicolas kept yelling for help since he was getting stuck every 5 seconds.

Making snow angels

Sweet little snow boy Making the "snowman"

Snow angel!

You can barely see it, but they are standing next to the "snowman"

Eddie loved to jump off the piles of snow that Daddy builds when he shovels the driveway

King of the snow pile!

Jumping high!

Good thing the snow is soft to land on

Inside, having some hot chocolate and resting.

And today we are getting even MORE snow!! We are expecting 1-2 FEET in the next day so we had to go out again. I decided to make that big snow pile into a slide for little Eddie.

Climbing up the stairs I made for him

And going down head first!! He LOVED the slide and went down so many times.

Eddie and I took little Eddie down to the park to sled down the hill and it was really fun! Walking down with little Eddie in tow.

Back from the park and time to do some more sliding

Feet first this time

Busy week!

We have had a fairly picture busy week!

Nicolas is enjoying a new show in Mommy's room and apparently couldn't see the t.v. from the bed...
The boys got out my old doll, Lois, and were having a grand time playing with her. They were fighting over whose turn it was to hold her, kiss her, change her, etc.
Nicolas loves to pretend to make her cry and then kiss her to make her better
Hanging out with Daddy while he tries hard to get some work done
We love to listen to the woodpeckers here, and Eddie gets very excited about it. He decided to draw a picture of the woodpecker on his handheld game. He did such an awesome job I had to take a pic of it!!
We had quite a good snowstorm and since it wasn't too cold out we decided we could go out while Daddy shovelled the driveway. Nicolas liked it but was easily irritated. Here he is taking a little break.

Eddie loved to catch snowflakes on his tongue. It was snowing a lot!
Hey Ma! I hit some black ice and my bike is stuck in the ditch!
Eddie helping Daddy shovel the stairs
Didn't you know it's never too cold to ride bikes? Although, sometimes it's hard to see with all the snow falling in your face.

And of course it's never truly winter unless Daddy shovels the deck in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops
On an inside day the boys were rearranging the kitchen table chairs. I guess they don't think they belong at the actual table.
On Valentine's Day we were able to go visit Grandma and Grandpa's new house and also see Aunt Lisa!! The house is still under renovations, but the kids had a better time with no furniture. They ran like crazy people and explored all the closets. Here they are helping Grandpa with his tile spacers and Grandma is supervising.
Eddie and Aunt Lisa
Nicolas wanted to show me his spacers
Making himself a little spacer fort
Playing in one of the closets
Going crazy in one of the bedrooms CHEESE!!!!!
Look! We found another closet!
Found a really cool rolled up rug and decided it was really a balance beam
Aunt Lisa wanted to show them how it's done
We went out for a very nice lunch/dinner. Nicolas was giving Grandms some love

Eddie is being silly!
Eddie was having the best time playing a game on Aunt Lisa's phone. Throughout the meal he kept getting closer and closer to her until he was pretty much on her lap :)
Today we got to go to one of Eddie's best friends house to play and they had a great time! They put together a couple pieces of a puzzle
So cute!!
And they played some DVD Bingo. They had so much fun!!
Nicolas actually WANTED me to take his picture and sat still while I snapped about 10. I couldn't stop because this has never happened before and don't know how long it will be before it happens again All the boys. What a handsome group!
My little camo man
This is how Nicolas acted when it was time to take a shot with Mommy. Boo hoo!
After some coaxing he was ready to take a nice one.
Mommy and Daddy still in love 6 years later...
