Tree and stuff

We put up our Christmas tree this weekend and the boys just love it!! Nicolas was smitten with it and couldn't walk away from it for hours. He has done very well with "no touching!" but still likes to get as close as possible without actually touching.

There is a family of 13 turkeys that visit us many times a day as well, and they seem to get along pretty good with the deer. Dinner!

Nicolas was crying that he was stuck, so I went in to see what was wrong.

I got him down and he just turned right around and did it again. About 5 times. With the same end result every time.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! I know we sure did. Ed and Grace arrived on Wednesday evening, and Lisa, Tony, Anthony, Iris and Maya got here on Thursday morning. The kids were all SOOO excited to be together and played so nicely the whole time. They loved to play in the boys room which was so great for the adults!! Lisa, Tony and the kids were able to stay 2 nights and we all had so much fun! After they left today, little Eddie told me he wished they didn't have a house and they lived with us. Awww!! Hopefully we will get to see them all again soon. Here is a little bit of what we have been up to the last 4 days....

Train ride!

Bama had to go home today :( even though we were not ready for her to go!! We had so much fun with her and Grandpa and can't wait to see them again.
On Wednesday we took advantage of having the day off of school in honor of Veterans Day, and went for a ride on a steam train! The boys loved it, although it was much harder for Nicolas to sit still. Nicolas LOVES trains so he was very excited and animated and kept pointing to all the trains and yelling "CHOO CHOO!!" Of course, we were at a train yard and train museum, so you can imagine that this happened a lot. Eddie did really great and I know that he would love the long train ride that is almost 3 hours, so maybe one day that can be a fun day out alone with Mommy or Daddy.

Fun time was had by all! And the best part was that since it was Veterans Day, everything was FREE!!

The other day we attempted to get some pictures of the boys at the beach since it was an absolutely perfect day- but they were not interested. We gave up rather shortly and you just have to laugh because there are no pictures with Nicolas looking at the camera, and several of Eddie not either! Oh well!

We got to go to a kids dance party today and a local Inn and had a great time!! They had a DJ and dance floor, an amazing array of food, games, crafts and storytime. Hopefully they start doing this on a regular basis!
